What is hybrid?
Hybrid can mean a lot of things. For example, a hybrid car gives power from an electrical and combustion-based engine. But in this case, we’re not talking about cars. We’re talking about software architecture. The concept, however, is transferable. It can mean a combination of on-premise with cloud - as service - infrastructure or a combination of one cloud provider with another cloud provider. Let’s have a look!
Why a hybrid setup?
Cloud is here to stay. Many of our clients already have tons of applications running either in public, private, or on-prem “clouds“. At Dropsolid, we focussed on running the most Open Digital Experience Platform based on Drupal, Mautic, and Apache Unomi. This also is often hosted in the cloud. Connecting these pieces brings you to a hybrid setup.

Summing it up: hybrid solutions
A hybrid solution in software architecture refers to a combination of different infrastructures, such as on-premise and cloud, or different cloud providers. Dropsolid offers multiple types of hybrid solutions. The choice of a hybrid solution depends on your needs, such as time to market, control over infrastructure, complexity, and cost efficiency.
If you’re unsure which solution is best for you, our team of experts can help you decide which solution fits you best.
